💡 Test Day Tips
- •Georgia's knowledge exam is split into a Road Signs test and a Road Rules test of 20 questions each; you must score 15/20 (75%) on each part.
- •Under the TADRA graduated-licensing system, teens start with a Class CP instructional permit, then a Class D provisional license before a full Class C.
- •Joshua's Law requires 16-year-old applicants to complete an approved driver education course before getting a Class D license.
- •Georgia has zero tolerance for drivers under 21: a BAC of 0.02% or higher triggers a license suspension. The adult limit is 0.08% and 0.04% for commercial drivers.
- •Under the points system, drivers age 21+ are suspended at 15 points in 24 months; you can reduce up to 7 points with a defensive driving course once every 5 years.
- •Georgia's Hands-Free Law prohibits holding a phone while driving; the Move-Over law requires moving over or slowing for stopped emergency and utility vehicles.
