πŸ’‘ Test Day Tips

  • β€’Ohio's knowledge test is 40 questions and you must answer 30 correctly (75%) to pass.
  • β€’You must hold a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIPIC) before practicing; drivers under 18 must hold it at least 6 months before the driving test.
  • β€’Ohio's Move Over law requires you to shift over a lane (or slow down) for stopped emergency, road-service, and disabled vehicles.
  • β€’Ohio has zero tolerance for drivers under 21: a BAC of 0.02% or higher means an OVI charge and license suspension.
  • β€’Drivers under 18 must complete an approved driver education course plus 50 hours of supervised driving (10 at night).
  • β€’Notify the BMV of an address change within 10 days of moving.
