Lane Ends (Merge) Sign

A lane ends ahead and traffic must merge.

What it looks like

A yellow diamond warning sign with a black symbol showing two lanes narrowing into one to indicate that a lane ends ahead.

When you'll see it

You meet it where the number of lanes is reduced, such as after construction zones or where a highway narrows.

What to do

Merge safely into the continuing lane before the lane ends, adjusting your speed to blend with traffic.
