💡 Mẹo Ngày Thi
- •On the 2025 test the officer asks questions one at a time and stops once you answer 12 correctly (or 9 incorrectly) — so accuracy early helps.
- •Six answers change with elections or appointments (President, Vice President, Speaker, Chief Justice, etc.). Confirm the current officeholders at uscis.gov/citizenship/testupdates before your interview.
- •Four official questions (your U.S. Senator, your Representative, your Governor, your state capital) depend on where you live, so study the answers for your own state.
- •Applicants 65 or older who have been permanent residents for 20+ years may study only the 20 questions marked with an asterisk.
- •The civics test is oral — you say the answer aloud. Practicing multiple choice helps you recognize the correct facts quickly.
- •There are also English reading and writing tests at the interview — keep practicing everyday English alongside the civics questions.

Về độ khó, đồng thuận chung là bản thân kỳ thi không phải là phần khó: bài kiểm tra civics (thường thức công dân) — rút 10 câu từ 100 câu, cần đúng 6 câu — và phần kiểm tra đọc/viết/nói tiếng Anh đều rất dễ vượt qua nếu ôn luyện, và phần lớn lo lắng là về thời gian chờ xử lý hồ sơ, chứ không phải câu hỏi — dù vượt qua buổi phỏng vấn không phải lúc nào cũng đồng nghĩa với chấp thuận ngay trong ngày (hồ sơ có thể đang pending, chờ xử lý). Về trải nghiệm, mọi người mô tả một buổi phỏng vấn tại field office (văn phòng địa phương) nơi viên chức xem lại N-400, hỏi các câu civics bằng miệng (dừng lại khi đúng 6 câu) và kiểm tra tiếng Anh; các trải nghiệm được chia sẻ (ví dụ các văn phòng ở Dallas, Atlanta) phần lớn suôn sẻ, và những bài đăng ăn mừng «Cuối cùng tôi đã là công dân» (I'm finally a citizen) rất phổ biến. Về ôn thi, lời khuyên tiêu chuẩn là học danh sách chính thức 100 câu civics của USCIS và luyện đọc/viết tiếng Anh, với sự hỗ trợ của các công cụ luyện tập; lưu ý ngoại lệ 65/20 cho phép người từ 65 tuổi trở lên và đã giữ thẻ xanh 20 năm học một bộ câu hỏi nhỏ hơn (và làm bài civics bằng tiếng mẹ đẻ), điều này quan trọng đối với người lớn tuổi không phải bản ngữ tiếng Anh.
