💡 Test Day Tips

  • The Arizona knowledge test has 30 questions; you must answer 24 correctly (80%) to pass.
  • Arizona's BAC limit is 0.08% (0.04% for commercial drivers); a driver can be charged with DUI at any BAC if impaired to the slightest degree.
  • Arizona's Move Over law requires you to slow down and move over a lane for stopped emergency, tow, and other vehicles with flashing lights.
  • When passing a bicyclist, Arizona law requires leaving at least three feet of space.
  • Watch for dust storms (haboobs): if visibility drops, pull off the roadway, stop, turn off your lights, and take your foot off the brake ("Pull Aside, Stay Alive").
