- •New Jersey uses a Graduated Driver License (GDL) program with a special learner permit, examination permit, and probationary license for new drivers.
- •New Jersey's BAC limit is 0.08% for drivers 21 and older, and 0.01% for drivers under 21. Refusing a breath test carries its own penalties under the implied-consent law.
